The PYDK Spotcast is an abbreviated, off-the-cuff version of the People You Don’t Know Podcast, where I invite one of the people in our PYDK network to talk about a topical subject going on in the news and media today.

Since a new U2 album is a cultural event in itself, I invited music scholar and rock drummer Dave Bloom to chat about U2’s new album, No Line on the Horizon, their historical progression as a band, and their place in culture today. Along the way, we revisit some of our favorites, try to gauge exactly what we think about Bono, and mostly agree that Pop really really sucked.
